I enjoy being my own person and don’t like to really follow trends, or styles, etc. Yet sometimes things are cute or a good idea to me so I try them. I got a cake pop pan this past Halloween as my step-father wanted some of those cake pops… so I made some for his birthday. Recently I decided to make some brownies for the super bowel party we were attending and I got to thinking I bet they would make good cake pops too… so Chase and I set about to makes some…
Normally I make all things dessert from scratch, but I had been given a gluten-free brownie mix for Christmas and decided to try it.
You put the brownie mix, milk, applesauce, etc in and mix…
Then I used a small ice cream scoop to put the batter into the cake pop pan and baked at 350* for 12 minutes and placed a stick in them once they were cooled enough to pop out of the pan…
Finally I used melting chocolate and dipped them in adding sprinkles in the coordinating colors of the teams playing in the Superbowl…
They were a big hit with the family and with my co-workers (who I saved some for and took in the next day
)… I think this is a trend I can make my own

What a great idea, I bet you will make them for lots of different occasions. I have seen that pan and wondered what on earth I would do with that, but you have a wonderful idea here.

I wasn’t sure I would use it at first either, but I could see how it would be good for kids partys and other occassions and you don’t eat too much

And your dog is so cute, mine helps me cook too!!! He loves the crumbs and looks so disappointed if I don’t “accidentally” drop something!!!

Yes, my boys are big helpers in the kitchen, especially the cleaning up my mess part. On this recipe though he didn’t get much as I don’t let them have chocolate

Ha, they look delicious!

Those turned out great! I’ve never seen that kind of pan before. I’ll have to keep my eye out for it. We like Bob’s GF Brownie mix – brownies are one of the things I don’t do from scratch around here.

The pan has little round bluges (mine has 6) and it has a top and bottom that look exactly alike outside of the lock
I usually do brownies from scratch, but this mix may convert me

Oh I hope she does… they are really good and a nice treat after a hard day at school and the feed yard

That’s not fair! Just came in from the barn…. spent all day cleaning in the cold, made a cup of tea and thought I’d check my e-mail. Chocolate cake pops…. They look so good. and would make a perfect treat to the end of my day. By the way, I use Bob’s Red Mill products all the time. I don’t need gluten-free but I have a friend who does, good to know that mix is a winner. Oh, my who isn’t in love with your dog!

I am in love with my pups
My Chase has been a little under the weather today, hopefully he will be better soon
Cake pops are good with tea I wish I had some left to send you
Sounds like you had a hard productive day
All the gluten-free Bobs Red Mill products I have tried are good and I love their gluten-free all purpose flour. Tell your friend to try this mix if she loves brownies she will really enjoy this

Cake pops are really a “thing” right now and they are so cute! Do you know I have never had one? Maybe it’s time.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 21:37:22
There are many ways to make them you can make them without a cake pop pan. Check out recipies online (Starbucks has good ones too, but they are not gluten-free if you need that).

They look great, I will have to try these! And your dogs do so well posing for your pictures! Mine never stays still long enough to not be a blur.

I hope you can try them and let me know how they come out
I train my pups from an eary age to pose… but they don’t always coperate with me either
